One of the serious issues faced by our modern world is environmental pollution, and it is one the most significant challenges that the world is facing in our day.
Environmental pollution has existed for centuries. But, it began to be a severe issue following the industrial revolution in the 19th century. Pollution generally takes place when pollutants pollute the natural surroundings and it can bring about changes that affect our everyday lifestyles unfavorably.
We have planted over 2 million trees in the past 3 years, estimating a 180ha coverage. In collaboration with the KENYA WILDLIFE SERVICE(KWS), we have restored forestation, improving animal habitat in their eco-system, in the following areas:
Through planting fruit trees, we have reduced malnutrition, creating awareness to students on the importance of conserving our environment for future generations.
Engaging in cleanup activities for waste collection, which aids in the creation of a conducive environment, clean air, and water.
Through collaboration with KeNHA, we focus on reducing air pollution, clean air and reduce erosion.
