About Us

Planting Trees. Restoring Hope.

Together.

One of the serious issues faced by our modern world is environmental pollution, and it is one the most significant challenges that the world is facing in our day.

Environmental pollution has existed for centuries. But, it began to be a severe issue following the industrial revolution in the 19th century. Pollution generally takes place when pollutants pollute the natural surroundings and it can bring about changes that affect our everyday lifestyles unfavorably.

Our Inception

Together4trees Kenya was founded in 2021 with a mission to promote tree planting, conservation, and environmental awareness across the country, starting with local community-driven initiatives.

First Tree Planting

Our first tree-planting event was held in a local school in Machakos County. It marked the beginning of our collaboration with students and teachers to educate the youth about climate action.

Volunteer Drive

We began onboarding passionate volunteers who shared our vision, setting the foundation for what would become a growing environmental movement.

Growth and Recognition

In 2022, we expanded to five counties and partnered with three public schools. Our work was recognized by local environmental authorities and media outlets.

Water Resource Projects

We initiated reforestation projects around critical water catchment areas to combat erosion and preserve clean water for rural communities.

Digital Launch

We launched our official website and social media platforms to connect with a wider audience and enable online tree sponsorships and donations.

Afforestation Campaigns

Our teams planted over 20,000 trees in semi-arid regions with the help of local farmers and youth groups. These projects also supported livelihoods through agroforestry.

Eco Clubs in Schools

We helped establish over 15 Eco Clubs in primary and secondary schools, empowering students to lead conservation activities in their communities.

Volunteer Training

We began offering basic environmental conservation training to volunteers, allowing them to contribute more effectively on the ground and as online advocates.

Tree Adoption Program

We launched the "Adopt a Tree" initiative allowing individuals and institutions to sponsor specific reforestation efforts and track their impact over time.

Eco-Travel Integration

We began partnering with travel agencies to let tourists participate in tree-planting missions, creating a blend of exploration and environmental responsibility.

Media & Awards

Our work was highlighted in local documentaries and environmental segments. We also received community awards for impactful grassroots work.

Technology Integration

In 2025, we're launching an app to map tree-planting locations, connect volunteers, and allow donors to follow the progress of supported trees via satellite imagery.

National Scale Projects

We are now involved in national-level afforestation campaigns and working with regional governments to incorporate tree-planting in county development plans.

Our Vision Forward

By 2030, we aim to plant over 1 million trees across Kenya, create 100+ school eco-clubs, and offer sustainable employment to hundreds through environmental work.

What's all about

Together4trees

Tree planting

We have planted over 2 million trees in the past 3 years, estimating a 180ha coverage. In collaboration with the KENYA WILDLIFE SERVICE(KWS), we have restored forestation, improving animal habitat in their eco-system, in the following areas:

  • Kabiruini
  • Nyeri Hill
  • Mt. Kenya Forest
Public Schools/Institutions Greening

Through planting fruit trees, we have reduced malnutrition, creating awareness to students on the importance of conserving our environment for future generations.

Town/Slum Cleanup

Engaging in cleanup activities for waste collection, which aids in the creation of a conducive environment, clean air, and water.

Greening our Major Highways

Through collaboration with KeNHA, we focus on reducing air pollution, clean air and reduce erosion.
